Agrometeorological Bulletin No.26, Dekad 2, September (11 –20) 2018

The 2nd dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for September, 2018 shows most parts of the country recorded moderate to heavy rainfall total with highest observed at Asaba with about 309.5mm of rainfall and lowest over Ondo with 6.8mm. Normal to above normal soil moisture conditions were experienced in most parts of the country except places around Dutse and Abeokuta, where below normal soil moisture conditions were observed.

Agrometeorological Bulletin No. 25, Dekad 1, September (01 –10) 2018

The 1st dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for September, 2018 shows most parts of the country recorded moderate to heavy rainfall total except areas around Abeokuta, Iseyin, Oshogbo, Dutse, Gusau recorded light rains of below 20mm. Normal to above normal soil moisture conditions were experienced in most parts of the country except places around Dutse, Abeokuta, and Oshogbo where below normal soil moisture conditions were observed. Highest temperature was recorded at Maiduguri (32.50C).

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.23, Dekad 2, August (11 –20) 2018

The 2nd dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for August, 2018 shows most parts of the country recorded Heavy rainfall total with highest observed at Lafia with about 238.6mm of rainfall and lowest over Ondo with 6.8mm. Above normal soil moisture conditions were experienced in most parts of the country except places around Abuja, Iseyin, Potiskum, Ogoja and Ondo where below normal soil moisture conditions were observed. Highest temperature was recorded Nguru (33.50C) and lowest at Jos (24.70C).

The 1st dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for August, 2018 shows most parts of the country recorded moderate to heavy rainfall total except areas around Sokoto, Gusau, Zaria, Yola and south recorded light rains of below 20mm. Above normal to normal soil moisture conditions were experienced in most parts of the country except places around Sokoto, Gusau, Zaria, Yola and south western part of the country where below normal soil moisture conditions were observed.

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.19, Dekad 3, July (01 –10) 2018

The first dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for July, 2018 recorded light to moderate rainfall in most parts of the country with heavy rainfall total at isolated places like Asaba (240.0mm), Kaduna (199.0mm), Yelwa (194.9mm), Abakaliki (190.0mm), and Awka (153.8mm). Below normal to above normal rainfall anomalies is observed across most parts of the country. Highest temperature was recorded at Yola (33.30C).

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.17, Dekad 2, JUNE (11 –20) 2018

The 2nd dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for June, 2018 is presented in this edition. The country recorded an increased in rainfall total and distribution when compared with the 1st dekad of June. Above normal to normal rainfall anomalies is observed across most parts of the country except Katsina, Yelwa, Ogoja, Abuja, Lokoja, Enugu, Awka and some part of south western state experienced below normal rainfall anomalies.

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.16, Dekad 1, JUNE (1 –10) 2018

The 1st dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for June, 2018 is presented in this edition. The country recorded slight increase in rainfall total and distribution when compared with the 3rd dekad of May. Above normal to below normal rainfall anomalies is observed across most parts of the country except Abuja, Gusau and Oshogbo which experienced normal rainfall. Highest temperature was recorded at Nguru (41.30C).

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.15, Dekad 3, May (21 –31) 2018

The 3rd dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for May, 2018 recorded slight reduction in rainfall total and distribution when compared with the 2nd dekad of May. Above normal to below normal rainfall anomalies is observed across most parts of the country except Dutse, Jos, Ogoja, Ibadan, Abakaliki and Warri experienced normal rainfall anomalies. Highest temperature was recorded at Maiduguri (40.00C).

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.14, Dekad 2, May (11 –20) 2018

The second dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for May, 2018 is presented in this edition. The country recorded slight improvement of rainfall amount when compared with the first dekad. Places in Maiduguri,Gombe, Sokoto, Yelwa, Zaria, kaduna and Lafia experienced below normal rainfall anomalies, while other parts of the North had above normal rainfall anomalies.The Southern states experienced normal to below normal rainfall anomalies with the exception of Ondo, Ogoja, Abakaliki and Oshodi that had above normal anomalies.

Agrometeorological Bulletin No.13, Dekad 1, May (01 –10) 2018

The 1st dekad of agrometeorological bulletin of May, 2018 shows significant amount of rainfall was observed across the country. The soil moisture conditions shows some parts of the country experienced normal to above normal soil moisture conditions.The mean maximum temperature increased slightly across the country and the highest maximum temperature was recorded at Maiduguri (41.80C).
