Mr John Josiah Eboigbe

Mr John Josiah Eboigbe was born on the 3rd of September 1961. He hails from Igbanke, Edo State Nigeria. Mr Eboigbe attended Igbontor Primary School, Edo State before proceeding to Igbanke Grammar School, Igbanke in 1973. He gained admission into Auchi Polyethnic, Auchi in1979 and graduated in 1983 with HND, Accountancy. He proceeded to the University of Benin between 1998 and 1995, he bagged a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science and an MBA in Business Administration from the same University. 

Immediately After completing his National Youth Service Corp, He was employed as an Audit Trainee at Ifeanyi Osameme and Co. (Chartered Accountants) in Benin City. Mr Eboigbe also work as an Executive Officer (Accounts) in the Bursary Department of the University of Benin from 1988 to 1990. He worked also as Audit Manager between 1990 to 1994 at Spiropoulos, Adiele Okpara & Co. (Chartered Accountants) in Benin City.

His Governmental Career started as a Co-Ordinator (Budget and Data Processing) at the Finance and Accounts of the Project Co-ordinating Unit Formerly Federal Agricultural Co-Ordinating Unit (FACU), Abuja. Mr Eboigbe was also Assistant Director and Deputy Director at the Petroleum Special Fund (PTF) from 1997 to 2002.

Mr Eboigbe was Deputy Director (Accounts) at the National Poverty Eradication Programe (NAPEP) Abuja in 2002.  From 2003 to 2006, he became Deputy Directorate (Inspectorate) at the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (OAGF), Abuja. He served as Deputy Director (Revenue) FROM April 2006 to June 2007.

Between July 2007 and May 2013, he served as Pioneer Director of the Revenue and Investments Department at OAGF and Federal Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs respectively. He Became Director, Finance and Accounts (DFA) at the Federal Ministry of Education from 2013 to 2015, DFA, Ministry of Defence 2015 to 2016, DFA at the Ministry of Petroleum Resources from 2016 to 2017.

He acted as Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Petroleum from January 2017 to August 2017.Mr Eboigbe reverted back as DFA at the Federal Ministry of Petroleum from September 2017 to January 2018. He served as DFA at the Ministry of Transportation and Aviation from 2018 to 2021 where he retired after meritorious service.
