The Directorate of Finance and Accounts is under the watch of Sani Aliyu. Sani is a thorough bred professional and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Accountants of Nigeria (FCA), Associate Member, Nigerian Institute of Management (AMNIM). With a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting from Federal Polytechnic, Idah, Kogi State in 1992.   Sani started his career in 1996 with the Kebbi State Television Service as an Accountant.

He later obtained a Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) in 2006 from Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Sokoto state.  In 1997-2011, he joined the then Power Holding Company of Nigeria Plc as Revenue Manager & Disbursement Manager and later rose to the rank of Manager (Foreign Exchange).

In 2011, he joined the Nigerian Meteorological Agency as Chief Accountant, where he handled Contract and Services Payments, Personnel Payments, General Control of Treasury among other duties. Until his appointment as Director of Finance and Accounts, Sani, was the General Manager (Finance) and has attended many courses, workshop and seminars both locally and international.

In 2013, Sani obtained another Masters degree in Accounting (Msc) from Usman Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Sokoto State.  Upon his resumption as Director, he has continued to develop a feasible financial plan to enhance revenue generation, initiate new sources of revenue and ensure prudent financial management process for the organization.

He is married with kids.
