Mr Ahmed A. Sanusi was born in the ancient city of Kano, Kano State on
the 17 th July 1966 into the Sanusi royal family. After his primary education,
he proceeded to Barewa College, Zaria for his secondary education.
Afterwards, he proceeded to King Saudi University, Riyadh where he
obtained a Diploma certificate in Arabic Language. He also had his
Bachelor’s Degree from European University, Jakarta, Indonesia.
In addition, he obtained both Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD) and Master’s
Degree in Business Administration (MBA) at Bayero University, Kano
(BUK).
He served as a Special Assistant to the Governor of the Central Bank of
Nigeria (CBN) from June 2009 to 2014. Prior to that, between April 2006
and May 2008, he was appointed Head of Marketing Department, Unity
Bank Plc., Kano Regional Office. From May 2008 to June 2009, he became
Branch Manager/State Coordinator and Team Leader with Unity Bank Plc.
His banking career started in 1998 with Tropical Commercial Bank as
Senior Banking Officer, where he rose through the Rank to become a
Senior Manager at Unity Bank Plc.

In 2017, he was appointed as a Director of Human Resources and
Administration (DHR&A) at Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). Before his recent appointment as the Director of Public Affairs Consumer
Protection with the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), he served as
Special Assistant (Administration) to the Honourable Minister of Aviation for
some months.
Mr Ahmed A. Sanusi is happily married with children.
