Agrometeorological Bulletin No.10, Dekad 1, April (01 – 10) 2019
The 1st dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for April, 2019 witnessed most parts of the country had rainfall amounts between 0.4mm (Gombe) to 83.5mm (Makurdi) in 1-6days rain while some part of north remained dry. Most parts of the country had above 330C except stations at Jos and Eket had below 320C. Highest temperature was recorded in Sokoto (42.90C) and lowest at Eket (31.00C). Most parts of the country are warmer than normal except places like Akure, Benin and Eket which are normal and colder. The InterTropical Discontinuity (ITD) is expected to oscillate between Latitude 110N to 160N. Harvesting of dry season crops and vegetables are still ongoing in some parts of the northern states.
