Agrometeorological Bulletin No.32, Dekad 2, November (11 –20) 2018

The 2nd dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for November, 2018 shows insignificant rainfall amounts were observed across Southern parts of the country except few places in the coastal states that recorded 45.5mm in Calabar, Eket (40.1mm) and Warri (23.7mm). Normal to below normal rainfall anomalies was observed.

Highest temperature was recorded Yola (36.90C) and lowest at Eket (28.80C). Most parts of the country experienced normal to warmer than-normal temperature anomalies except places like Kaduna, Jalingo and Eket where colder than normal day-time temperature anomalies were experienced. The Inter Tropical Discontinuity (ITD) is expected to move northward to attain a mean position of 8.50N. Harvesting of maize, vegetables, root and tuber crops are continuing across some parts of the country.
