Agrometeorological Bulletin No.33, Dekad 3, November (21 –30) 2018

The 3rd dekad of agrometeorological bulletin for November, 2018 shows a slight improvement of rainfall amounts across the coastal parts of the country when compared to the previous dekad. Normal to below normal rainfall anomalies were also observed over most parts of the country except for a few places around Ibadan, Ikom and Port-Harcourt that experienced above normal rainfall anomalies. The mean maximum temperature ranged from 28.80C (over Jos) to 37.10C (over Yola).

The temperature anomaly reveals normal to warmer than-normal temperature anomalies across most parts of the country. The Inter Tropical Discontinuity (ITD) is expected to move northward to attain a mean position of 7.50N. Harvesting of maize, vegetables, root and tuber crops are continuing across some parts of the country.
