Basic Instructional Package for Meteorological Technicians(BIP-MT)
This training equips the trainee with basic knowledge and skills to accurately and objectively carry out routine meteorological and related observations. The trainee will be able to observe weather parameters such as temperature, pressure and clouds etc. In addition he/she will be able to identify hydrometeors and their methods of observation, able to code and transmit information. Aims at providing the student with the skills and knowledge contained Basic Instruction Package for Meteorological Technicians. The trainee will be able to demonstrate the requisite meteorological observational competencies. It also introduces the trainee to the basics of weather forecasting like charts analyses and synoptic interpretations thus preparing them for professional lifelong carrier in the field of meteorology.

FUNDAMENTAL METEOROLOGY COURSE FOR GRADUATES
Introduces trainees to Meteorology and prepares them for a professional career in both Aeronautical Meteorological Forecasting and any other meteorological operational offices. The training provides the student with the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorologists working in line with WMO No. 1083. It further equips the trainee with the knowledge to demonstrate the requisite skills and competencies for Aeronautical Meteorological Forecasters. Upon completion, the participants will be able to observe different weather variables accurately, code and transmit information, analyze and monitor the real time weather situations, analyse different weather charts, be able to interprete NWP products and satellite imageries for effective forecast for aeronautical and other operational purposes, warn of hazardous phenomena, ensure quality of meteorological information and communicate meteorological information to users.

Basic Instructional Package for Meteorological Technicians (BIP-MT: Senior level).
This course equips the trainee with knowledge, skills and competencies to work as an Advanced-level Meteorological Technician with prospects to work in weather/climate /environmental monitoring, forecasting, research, and training. The training provides the student with the skills and knowledge contained in the Basic Instruction Package for Meteorological Technicians (BIP-MT). It further equips the trainee with the requisite demonstrable competencies to work as a Aeronautical Meteorological Forecaster (AMF) Technician. Enhances participants’ skills in the use of aviation specific codes and practices and broadens their knowledge in diagnosing and forecasting aviation specific phenomena. Upon completion, the participants will be able to analyze and monitor the weather situation, forecast aeronautical meteorological phenomena, warn of hazardous phenomena, ensure quality of meteorological information and communicate meteorological information to users.
