Standards Organization of Nigeria (SON) has concluded the training of NiMet’s Quality Management System (QMS) staff on ISO 45001:2018 Standard - Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).

The training held from the 27th to the 31st of May 2024 at Sawalino Hotel Keffi, Nasarawa State.

OHSMS is a regulatory requirement of Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). Under the requirement, all service providers to international air navigation (including NiMet) are to implement an SMS program to ensure that AeroMet products and services are delivered to endusers consistently in a safe and efficient manner devoid of occupational hazards.

Associated risks identification methods and reporting are also to be put in place to ensure overall health and safety of the workforce. This will, in turn, mitigate against the failure of products and services provided by NiMet.
