The WMO Regional Training Centre (RTC), under the auspices of Nigerian Meteorological Agency (a division under the Directorate of Research and Training, through which it is funded), is responsible for the training of Meteorological, and Climatological Personnel from Nigeria, English-speaking West African countries and other African countries.

The expert hold Management positions at WMO and across Meteorological and Climate related agencies in central and Western Africa including Nigeria. The program’s curriculum is NBTE, WMO and ISO compliance.The lecturers at MBMIST are world className expert with WMO certification.All field and laboratory facilities needed to train a 21st century Meteorologist and climate change science technologies are available on campus. Our students are train in class, field, laboratory, airports, agro-station, marine stations etc.
