The Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), on Wednesday, 7th May 2025, joined other stakeholders at the launch of the #NationalAgribusinessPolicyMechanism (NAPM).

NAPM is an initiative of the Presidential Food Security Coordinating Unit (PFSCU NG), which aims to enhance agricultural productivity, stabilize food prices, and stimulate economic growth. NiMet has been an integral partner in the initiative from its inception. The launch follows a pilot survey completed across 13 states in Nigeria.

The launch was performed by His Excellency, Senator Kashim Shetima, Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, who was represented by the Deputy Chief of Staff to the President, Senator Ibrahim Hadejia.
