At the sideline of the ongoing seventy-ninth session of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Executive Council, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) led by its Director General/CEO and Permanent Representative of Nigeria with WMO, Professor Charles Anosike, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Korean Meteorological Administration.

This MoU is a unique bilateral cooperation that is geared toward capacity development for the Agency and its personnel in the areas of scientific and technical research, Artificial Intelligence for weather prediction, Information Technology for information dissemination, enhancement of the Seasonal Climate Prediction tool and early warning-themed training programs, among others
