NiMet Receives ICT Equipment From The Agro-Climatic Resilience In Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project

A team from the Agro-Climatic Resilience In Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project, on Friday, 18th October 2024, provided some ICT equipment to the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) in support of the ACReSAL project.

Receiving the items in his office, the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of NiMet, Prof. Charles Anosike assured that the items will be properly utilized for the purpose they were delivered. He thanked Abdulhamid Umah, National Project Coordinator, ACReSAL, who was represented during the presentation by Dorothy Okoye and Sylvester Ibeneme for his commitment to the project.

The Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project seeks to address some of the critical climate change challenges in Northern Nigeria, through a multi-sectoral approach wherein relevant Ministries, Departments, and Agencies play strategic roles in the implementation of the project. The Nigeria Meteorological Agency is one of the implementing agencies that have key mandates and expected contributions to the ACReSAL Project.
