The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is vested with the responsibility of providing weather data and information for safe air navigation in line with the Standard and Recommended Practices (SARPs) prescribed by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and World Meteorological Organisation (WMO), and in compliance with the Nigerian Civil Aviation Regulations.
Pursuant to the above, NiMet provides quality, accurate, and timely weather observations,forecasts and warnings to the Aviation
industry for safety of air navigation.
